Oracle has just released its latest scheme to drive migration to their Cloud services, by offering 'credits' toward your on-premise support costs. Of course, to get the credits you must purchase more (drum roll, please) Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. As with many programs like this, there can be a sliver of benefit for some short term, but most will just flat out pay more. Remember, Oracle is not in business to help you spend less with Oracle. As an NBC news item recently put it, Cyber Security staff are barely hanging onand not able to keep up with the barrage of attacks. Its clear that for the short term, the opportunities for criminals to make vast sums of money are simply too good to resist, and will likely continue for the foreseeable future.
